My experience with Sidney Thomas has been phenomenal. The first time I ever visited was just a random night after dinner and I had just gotten into my obsession over timepieces. Even though the store was about to close, Benny greeted us and proceeded to ask what we were looking for. Although I mentioned we were only here to browse, I never felt any pressure from him to try and buy something. Instead, we spent a good 20 minutes (apologies to my wife, who I'm sure thought it was boring as all heck) just chatting about watches in general and my interest in building up a collection. Benny and I built up some great rapport and he mentioned that the new store was opening soon with what was going to be the largest collection of Rolex in New England. Needless to say I was ecstatic. Fast forward a year (and many visits to the new store without a purchase) I decided to jump the gun on a brand new Rolex Submariner. Benny and I had talked to great extent about various timepieces and his expertise on the subject matter led me to this decision. It's a classic piece that is a great start to any collection. A little while longer, I had the urge to get a new piece Rolex introduced- their Stainless Steel Daytona with ceramic bezel. This was an extremely hard to find piece with limited availability (still to this day!!). Even on a trip to Switzerland and Italy, all the jewelers I stopped in to mentioned that I wouldn't be able to get my hands on one for years. That exclusivity just made me want it that much more. Benny and I had chatted on many occasions and one day when I stopped in, he along with Beverly the store manager agreed the next one they receive will be mine!!! This is the type of service that's to be expected when working with a fine jeweler!!I received my Daytona just in time for my wedding, which at that point Benny and I had become such good friends that, of course, I had to invite him! This sort of relationship is what's necessary for this industry to thrive and survive and Sidney Thomas does it well- from their warm and inviting environment (not to mention exclusive events!) , to their collection of amazing watches and the BEST customer service!
Stopped by to show my friend the two Rolex watches I couldnt decide between hoping to purchase one today. Ignored by two sales men. Unsure if it is due to me being female, of colour or dressed in jeans and hoody. Either way they missed out on the commission. The sales man at Tourneau was fantastic, looking forward to working with him. My advice go to Tourneau if you want to be treated with any respect. Loathe to even give one star.
I was with my mother and family today for a lunch out, in celebration of mother's day. After eating at the DELICIOUS Earl's, we decided to walk through the rest of the Prudential Center. Just to look around we popped into the Sidney Thomas Jewelers, and were happily greeted by a younger man with an accent who pointed us towards the Rolex and assured us someone would be with us soon. The store was VERY busy, incredibly so at the Rolex counter, which was being worked by a singular older gentleman with glasses. His work experience, knowledge of the product and general run of things was mastered and impressive. He singlehandedly was assisting at least four customers at once, answering every question and not missing a beat with what someone wanted. The overly efficient staff and professional environment will definitely be bringing us back.
Had a great experience here. "John" was very knowledgeable about the items we asked about. He was helpful and a pleasure to deal with. My wife will definitely be back. Great place, wonderful pieces, and an excellent staff, couldn't ask for more.
Was visiting Boston today and decided to stop by this shopping seeing they sell Rolex .Was curious to see what was in stock as the NYC stores have been out of steel sports watches for a while. I was pretty much met at the door and in so many words told not to comes in. Maybe I wasn't well dressed enough for the occasion of walking around the city, maybe it was my Jewish tattoos. If the sales person was even a little interested in making a sale he would notice I'm wearing a Rolex and that I'm a legit buyer. Avoid this location if you want to be treated like a human being .
