The lobby on the second floor is still the place where local citizens hold various gatherings, while the third floor is the museum belonging to the headquarters of the Boston Artillery Corps. This artillery museum is well worth a visit. Although the museum is small, the decoration is very warm and very distinctive.Behind Faneuil Hall is Boston's most famous Quincy Market, the entire Faneuil Hall plus the surrounding market and Quincy Market, which is integrated into the Faneuil Market, a collection of restaurants and shops that can be found here. A variety of local delicacies and craft souvenirs, as well as authentic Boston lobsters. If you come here in the evening, at this time, the Faneuil Hall lights up at the beginning, you can shoot its charming appearance, and then go around the market, you can choose some small gifts for yourself and your friends.
Faneuil marketplace is a great place to shop and dine. There is something for everyone from Ned Devine's to the Salty Dog restaurant. Tons of stores to choice from, and many mall eatery places indoors. There are sports memorabilia, jewelry, souvenirs of Boston, and a wide variety of eclectic gifts. Obviously, it is far better to walk around outside in the warm weather , than winter. It draws a crowd of visitors no matter what the season!
Love the great shops. Looks great at night with the lights on. Sometimes you might happen upon a musical show for free, and the small shops inside are pretty to look at and buy things if you're on vacation. Inside is more food shops and a central eating area. Great for a night out with visiting friends or family. Best for adults at night.
Thought the place would be dead in the winter. I was so WRONG. It was booming. The street performers we're awesome to watch. Give you a good laugh. Inside the place was shoulder to shoulder. But the food selections we're amazing. The amount of bakeries we're mouth watering. It was a fun time. Paying for parking was worth it.
Great place for a quick market style meal from the various food stalls. A few indoor seats and plenty of stone benches outdoors, weather permitting. We tried the hot butter lobster roll from Boston Chowda. It was fantastic. The lobster really shone through (big chunks instead of shredded) and it was a generous portion. I didnt have the chowder but my partner tells me it was delicious. The combo was $29 for roll, chowder and a drink.
