Went for my son's 20th birthday party but I left feeling disappointed. There was a lovely atmosphere and the good looked great when it came out. Four people had fish and chips and one scampi which were great, however 3 of us had the ribs. When we bit into them they were barely luke warm (not good for pork) so we politely sent them back to the kitchen. When they returned all the side dishes had disappeared - gone was the delicious looking side salad and big chunky onion rings and most of the BBq sauce. It looked disappointing- floppy chips overcooked peas and the ribs. I mentioned to the waitress that the onion rings had gone and she said she would bring some but they never arrived.. On paying the bill I was asked how the meal was, to which I replied I was disappointed then both members of staff seemed to disappear.. After a good few minutes one returned and then took the money giving no real apology or small token of good will. I just left feeling dissatisfied and disappointed. Could be better.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Very helpful and friendly staff. A real pleasure and an excellent experience with no stress. It is just like eating at home.

Have been here for an evening meal as well as Sunday lunch. Meals were delicious and you could tell they was made fresh. I certainly can't wait to visit again.
Excellent breakfast. I had the full English, my girlfriend has just had surgery so they went out of there way to prepare her a breakfast she could eat that met her dietary requirements. They even cooked me scrambled eggs and sausages for my dog.A very warm welcome, friendly staff and good quality food. I'd recommend this great little local pub.
