Friendly lovely old pub, a must keep
We had our evening meal here. It was our first time and due to the lack of customers we were a bit apprehensive but we needed not to worry as the meal was splendid. Mine host was very helpful. We would reccomend this establishment to everyone as there is a menu to suit most.
Very friendly pub does excellent food very good quality I've been here quite a lot Haven had Christmas dinner there which was very good you book in advance I believe it is changed hands now I don't know if the quality is still as good but I would imagine so
Great pub with top real ales. Astonishinly good treacle sponge. Steak pie good quality beef but could do with longer slower cooking. Overall though - very good.
Tasty lunch of steak pie with fresh vegetables, gravy followed by treacle pudding and custard. Nice staff and cosy atmosphere with woodfire.
