Little piece of heaven right here on earth
This was our very first experience of caravan sites as a tourer. We knew a couple of people on the site. We paid 15 per night which included electric hook up and water and awning.This is predominately an residential site for statics but caters for routers etc.OVERVIEW.Very remote and well shielded from the open fields of Lincolnshire by 10 foot hedges. 20 mins from Skeg. 30 mins to Mablethorpe. 20 mins to Boston and 15 mins to the excellent Co-op supermarket at Old Leake. A pub with excellent food, although slightly pricey, sits next to the site entrance. FACILITIESOn site electric hook up. Water stand pipe at each pitch.Each pitch is grass and well maintained.Excellent toilet and showering facilities.Laundry room with washing, drying and ironing facilities. Play area for children with well maintained frames etc.Club house which is open at various times through the season (enquire when booking)We found the owner Steven to be helpful and very knowlegeable of caravans. His partner helps on site and keeps the facilities spotlessly clean. The static owners were ready to engage in conversation and were very welcoming. Our 3 children (3,5 and 12) found the play area and other children on site enough to keep them occupied for a few hours each day.All round an excellent site. Peaceful, friendly and relaxing with good amenities and at an excellent rate.Well worth a visit at least once.
My parents spend a lot of the year here. If you want to get away for some peace and quiet it's a lovely site. My children spent a week there and really enjoyed their stay. The owners are fair but firm with the children, just as it should be.
